Our mission is to help our neighbors with sustainable, nutritious food supplies. To fulfill what Jesus said "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me" Matthew 25:40


 We exist to raise awareness of local hunger and bring change to the lives of those we serve in South Siskiyou County. With your help we can make a difference. Open Wednesdays from 11am to 3pm, AND .  .  .

To meet the demands of community need during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will also be open on Fridays from 10am - 2pm for the following dates (April 3, April 10, April 17 and April 24). We will re-evaluate the need for this program expansion the week of April 20th, as well as resources available. 

Special thanks to the Shasta Regional Community Foundation's COVID-19 Relief Fund, the Gee-Zuniga Charitable Fund, and other generous donors for making Friday distributions possible.

Clients new to our services should bring:

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of residence in South Siskiyou County (for all household members)
  • Proof of income
  • Willingness to volunteer 2 hours of help during the year

Our Programs

Emergency Food Boxes

Clients choose box contents from our weekly list. Includes fresh produce and staples designed to provide a 3-day supply of food. With our current funding, clients may take 12 emergency boxes per year. Please bring reusable bags to collect produce selections.

Thanks to Emergency Food and Shelter Program (Siskiyou Local Board), Great Northern Services (Weed, CA), Grocery Outlet (Weed, CA), Modoc Siskiyou Community Action Agency (Alturas, CA), Mountain Christian Fellowship (Mt. Shasta, CA), Ray's Food Place (Mt. Shasta & Weed stores), Run for Food sponsors and participants, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church (Mt. Shasta, CA), McCloud Market (McCloud, CA) and all of our generous donors.

 

Produce Only

Clients select from an ever changing farmer's market-style display. Primarily #2 produce that has been freshened by our dedicated volunteers. Available on a weekly basis. We suggest a $1 donation and use of own bag.

Thanks to General Produce, Mt. Shasta, CA for these regular produce donations. Local farms participate as they can during peak season.

 

EFAP (Emergency Food Assistance Program) for Weed residents

Every other month, this government program (formerly called USDA Commodities) provides 90 boxes of pre-selected, shelf stable foods. SFA distributes to residents of Weed, CA only. Click here to find EFAP schedules for other Siskiyou Communities.

Distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis. These boxes are distributed during our regular Wednesday pantry hours 11am to 3pm. Please check back for 2020 schedule.
